Our theme is “liberation,” a word that often has political connotations.  Liberation theology once fired the imaginations of Christians wanting to help the poor in developing nations.  Unbelievably, in Latin America, Liberation theology has been almost completely replaced by the “health and wealth gospel”  of folks like Joel Osteen.  (I strongly recommend this new Gospel if you happen to be healthy and wealthy!)
