We're Saving a seat for you

We are proud of our beautiful campus and our little patch of green on the Far West side of San Antonio.  Although we know that sometimes our building could seem a little tucked away in the woods, we have a calling to reach out to our community to make sure that our love and support don’t stay tucked away.  We want them to spill out  into the neighborhoods that surrounds us: Great Northwest, Northchase, Northwest Park, Quail Creek, Timberwilde and others.

We believe you will find Northminster a warm and welcoming community of faith.  Our new members always mention how much it felt like home right away.  Those who worship here come from a broad range of backgrounds, and we consider ourselves blessed by their presence in our church. We welcome all to come and receive the warmth and family found at Northminster.

With arms and hearts open, we invite you to worship with us. We pray that you will be encouraged and supported in your journey of faith.  We want to draw closer to God and each other.  We hope that you are drawn closer to God by your experience with us, and that you will come to love God more deeply and live out those convictions more fully.

Finding the Right Fit.

Look at see what’s going on in the life of our church family.

A Church for all people.

My name is Lynn Carroll. I’ve been a member at Northminster since 2007. When I decided to find a new church home after being away for many years, my plan was to try several and see what fit best. The first church I came to was Northminster. The pastor and members were so welcoming that I knew from the first visit I had found the church for me and my daughter.

After joining, my plan was to lie low. One day there was an announcement for a representative to attend the Presbyterian cluster for Habitat for Humanity. Saying yes to that led to being on the Mission committee. Then I was asked to become a Deacon. A couple of years after my term, I was asked to be a ruling elder.

So much for lying low. It’s been great being part of a church where I wasn’t allowed to sit on the sidelines. I’ve been able to make a difference for the community, and it’s been great for me and my family, too.
